Review: NIV Kids' Visual Study Bible, Hardcover, Full Color Interior: Explore the Story of the Bible---People, Places, and History

The NIV Kids' Visual Study Bible is designed for kids ages 8-12. It helps children explore the Bible by giving details about the people, places and history of this amazing book. There are actually over 700 illustrations, photos, infographics, and maps which brings the Bible to life in four-color illustrated for kids! Each page visually represents key Bible information. There are also important facts located near relevant verses.

One thing I really liked was the one-column format which included a side bar. This side bar is where all kinds of cool information is included. And it also leaves room for notes as well.

For example, when the book of Matthew talks about a mustard seed, there is actually a picture of a mustard seed in the margin of that page with additional information: "The mustard seed was the smallest seed used by farmers and gardeners in the Holy Land. It could grow to 10 feet (3 meters) tall."

There is also an explanation of what "yeast" is on that same page explaining: "In the Bible, yeast was usually a symbol of something evil that spreads. but in this instance, yeast is a positive sign of growth."

If you are looking for a great Christmas present for you newly reading second thru middle schooler, this might be the book for you! I really can't find a negative thing to say about this review. Check it out!

I received a free copy of this book from booklookbloggers.com in exchange for my honest review!
